Social Day
Melbourne is renowned as a city rich in culture and history. This year's social day will begin with a morning trip to the ACMI, followed by a park lunch on the Yarra, with lawn games and team based challenges. After you're all fed and watered, you will go on a scavenger hunt throughout Melbourne's Hoddle Grid to test your orienteering and problem solving skills. You will end up at the University just before the Industry Panel and Showcase take place. In the event of inclement weather, lunch will be moved to an undercover area, and the scavenger hunt will be replaced by a trip to the Melbourne Museum in Carlton.
A group from Queen's College will head to ACMI at 9:15 am with people making their own way welcome to join at 10 am.Â
Lunch will be held at Alexandra Gardens at 12pm with Banh Mi! We will gather in the paddock next to the Riverslide Skatepark, where there are conveniently located public toilets and the river bank.
Meet us here for lawn games (probably some back yard cricket) and relaxing before we start our scavenger hunt!
In the event of bad weather, last minute changes will be announced via email and the KOALA discord - please keep and eye on those!
Our wet weather location for lunch and afternoon activities is Melbourne Museum (please look for announcements of schedule change).
